A simple but very effective pumbing tool! You can use this when there's a clogged pipe that you can't clear by other means (chemicals, plunger). It's a flexible stainless steel cable with a corkscrew end.

The cable is coiled within the drum. The collar where the cable comes out, has a thumbscrew for locking the cable.

With the cable unlocked, feed the cable into the drain or pipe until you've reached the blockage.
Tighten the screw to lock the cable within the collar and it's time to turn the blue drum. This twists the corkscrew end of cable into the clog to snag it, so you can pull it out of the drain.
Gross, yes, but it works!

Note: Do not use this tool on toilets.
